I love Debbie Viguie, but this series kind of lost me. I prefer her standalone series beginning with Kiss of Night.
The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead
I have to admit, I love me some Vampire Academy! This series isn’t quite as captivating, but I’m liking it so far. (It also doesn’t hurt that there’s a Vampire Academy movie in the works!)
